Without general operating permit (ABE)

The wind deflectors are delivered without a general operating permit (ABE). Vehicles with wind deflectors without ABE must be presented at the vehicle owner's own risk. The wind deflectors are not permitted in Switzerland.

This means that if you have wind deflectors without ABE, you must present the vehicle with the wind deflectors yourself, as the attachment does not have its own ABE/parts certificate – this is called individual approval. Individual approval is necessary if the vehicle or attachment does not belong to an approved type.

With an individual approval, you will then receive a written report from the inspector (TÜV, DEKRA, etc.) regarding the individual approval. After the report, you can then have the entry made official at the registration office.

The costs for the presentation and registration vary depending on the testing center and the scope of the changes.

If you would like further information, you will find many helpful sources on the subject of individual approvals on the Internet.
