Car Covers: Indoor, Outdoor, and Their Areas of Use Explained

Area of Use: Indoor or Outdoor

Basically, there are two types of car covers:

Outdoor covers:

  • protect against rain, snow, UV rays, and dirt
  • are waterproof and weather-resistant
  • suitable for outdoor use

Indoor covers:

  • protect against dust and light dirt
  • are especially gentle on paintwork
  • for indoor use only

Important Note About the Material

Our outdoor covers are not breathable.

This means:
Moisture (condensation) can form under the cover, especially with prolonged use.

 Recommendation:

  • Remove the cover regularly
  • Allow both the vehicle and the cover to dry
  • do not leave the cover on the vehicle permanently

Differences in Quality and Protection

Depending on the model, there are different levels of protection:

  • Basic models: reliable everyday protection
  • Premium models: stronger material, extra UV protection, and better fastening
  • Indoor stretch models: especially good fit thanks to elastic material

Fastening and Handling

Many covers feature:

  • elastic bands for easy installation
  • straps for secure fastening
  • soft inner lining to protect the paintwork

Important Note About Size

The right size is chosen based on your vehicle's dimensions.

Please note:

  • compare your vehicle's length with the product measurements
  • take the body shape into account (car, SUV, estate, etc.)
  • use the size chart provided with each product

An automatic vehicle match is not always possible.
