What is the difference between an upper, lower, or variable loading floor?

Some of our boot mats are made only for a specific type of loading floor. If no specific type of loading floor is indicated in the product description, the boot liner is designed by default for vehicles with an upper loading floor.

Here is a brief explanation of how you can find out which type of loading floor you have in your vehicle:

Upper loading floor: An upper loading floor is level with the loading edge (at the height of the bumper) of the boot. The boot liner lies on top of the boot floor.

Lower loading floor: A lower loading floor lies deeper than the loading edge of the boot.

Variable loading floor: A variable loading floor allows the depth of the floor to be changed. Often, variable loading floors are foldable or can even be removed.
